Traif
Restaurant In The Home Cooking Series: Pt. 1
For the first installment of our Restaurant In The Home Cooking Series, we're thrilled to be teaming up with one of our all-time favorite event hosts: Traif! This Brooklyn eatery is where virtuoso Chef Jason Marcus experiments with all things NOT kosher (i.e. traif) to create an inventive cuisine that is entirely his own. Since opening their doors in Williamsburg over a decade ago – before it became the cool thing to do – Traif has done nothing but wow critics and diners alike with glowing praise from the likes of NY Times (Critics' Pick designation) and the folks at Michelin (perennial Bib Gourmand selection). Given Chef Marcus's jaw-dropping resume (see below), the success of Traif is far from surprising. Needless to say, we couldn't have dreamt up a better host for PT. 1 of this series, and Chef Marcus is just as excited to teach us how to make his signature dishes as we are to learn!
About the Host:
Jason Marcus
Executive Chef & Co-Owner
Prior to opening Traif and his other restaurant, Xixa, Chef Marcus honed his craft working in the kitchens of Eleven Madison Park and Le Bernardin. Serious chops!
